Online Gaming Licensing & Regulation

It’s expected all online gaming operators hold a Government egaming license and as such, are regulated by these Government bodies. Most online gambling licensing jurisdictions enforce their licensee’s to operate in an ethical manner. But, there are those who don’t. Instead, if the fee(s) are paid, they’ll obtain an online gambling license, from these dodgy egaming Government bodies.

Reputable eGaming Government Licensing Bodies

Dodgy Government Gambling Licensing Bodies

  • Curaçao, Netherland AntilliesCuraçao eGaming Commission: Flacid and non responsive to player complaints. Seems any egaming operator holding a Curaçao License, is given carte blanche to run their casino as they see fit, even if that means committing fraud. Rather bizarre really, given Curaçao gaming commission seems to embrace anti-money laundering protocols. I would think anything illegal would be frowned upon. But seems not!
  • Costa Rica Gambling License – There are no eGaming License’s issued by the Costa Rica Government. Only registration required in Costa Rica for egaming, is a business license. An identical license issued to the local butcher, baker and candle stick maker. Any online casino, sportsbook or poker room claiming to hold a Costa Rica Gambling License, is lying.

If being paid your winnings is important to you, DOCH suggests, only gamble online at venues who are licensed/regulated and, who hold a bona fide Government Gaming License in a trusted Jurisdiction. If something goes haywire, you’ll have a complaint process open to you.
